My recent Maybelline haul!!

I managed to get my hands on the Maybelline Colossal Kajal last week. Finally!!! Yeah!!

God knows how much I wanted to have them, and how long it took to reach our shore here, like forever. And when it finally arrives, I grabbed not just one, but 2 sticks (there is a great tendency for great products become extinct/discontinued in my place), as there is no harm in having a backup. Thanks to Sabrina and Jannah (fellow blogger) for the earlier review (I have reblogged her article earlier here).

My take on this item?

Nothing new, really, pretty much what everyone else is saying. It is a great liner, very intense black, nice to wear on eyelid and waterline. Does not irritate the eyes, no tugging, smooth and easy application, lasts pretty long, and looks very pretty on the eyes. Oh, and the bright yellow colored stick is super easy to find in my handbag, which is a major plus point when I’m trying to locate my makeup items in my bag while driving to work.

All these for RM19.90, come on, what is there to complaint?

Now, the other item I purchased on a whim is the very famous Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow. That is quite a mouthful, isn’t it? Phew…

So it is a cream eyeshadow, which I love and prefer compared to powder eyeshadow for some reasons I don’t know. The color which I got is Bad to the Bronze, because it looks very attractive, it is tagged as bestseller on the counter and also because I rarely wear color on my eyes, so this one is ideal in case I want to add some colors to my lids. Whatever that means.

So how did this one fare for me?

The color is awesome, the payoff is great, and after some Googling, I found out that the color is a bestseller indeed and a Youtube favourite too. But so are other colors and I noticed that not all the colors in the edition are available here in my place. So that is kind of sad. There is some shimmer in the product, but nothing too heavy or chunky, so I guess it is safe to be used during the day time. It is a great color for night time though, especially if you intend to go smokey.

I like using my finger to apply the cream because it makes life much easier but I also find a lot of product wastage in the process. Most of the product is stuck on my finger pad. Then I tried using my unnamed shadow brush, the result was pretty much the same on the eyes. So there it is, if you are concerned on the hygiene and product wastage, please use a brush. Otherwise fingers would do.

In all, I got myself two awesome Maybelline products in a day, I love them both so much and my heartfelt thank you to Maybelline Malaysia for bringing the Colossal Kajal here.
